has become more than just a men's publication. It's a household name that exudes glamour, beauty, and the right to bare it all. However, the lack of clothing and inhibitions doesn't let on much about what happens behind closed doors. Long-time playmate and main girlfriend to Hef himself, Holly Madison, has written a tell-all about her time as a Playboy bunny. Check out our list of the juicy details Holly's spilled. You'd never guess what's been happening at the Playboy Mansion.
Holly Madison's tell-all takes us behind the iron gates and beyond the quintessential Playboy enterprise to reveal the juicy details we wish we knew.
Holly says, “I always thought it would be classy not to kiss and tell… but after awhile you just get sick of having other people trying to tell your story for you.”
When Hef is being interviewed, the girls are not allowed to speak freely or chime in.

Holly's introduction to the Playboy Mansion was when she was invited by Hef's private doctor who had spotted her at another party. At the time, Holly was a Hawaiian Tropic model.
While the mansion parties used to be invite-only and hosted many celebrities, it is now open to the public. All you have to do is buy a ticket and the mansion rakes in the cash.
Every room of the Playboy Mansion has a tray of baby oil, Kleenex, and Vaseline for obvious reasons. However, Hef's sense of preparedness and liberal use of oils led to many girlfriends' yeast infections.
Plenty of Playboy models were in the prosititution and escorting scene. If any of the models' passports had stamps from Turkey, Hef would kick them out due to suspicions they were visiting the "escort hub of the world" for side work.
"Main Girlfriend" was a title that was sought after, but there weren't any real perks. The main girlfriend wouldn't get any higher of an allowance or special treatment compared to the other girls.
They had Fun-In-The-Sun Sundays, Manly-Night Mondays, Family-Night Tuesdays, Club-Night Wednesdays, Off-Night Thursdays, Club-Night Fridays, and Movie-Night Saturdays. Sounds like your average pre-teen sleep away camp to us.
For the first season of the show, the girls made exactly $0, and because the show was to be aired on American television where nudity was not allowed, the girls bared it all assuming everything would be blurred out. That is, until they realized the show would be aired in other countries that allow all of their lady parts to be oogled at.
Holly's breakup with Hef wasn't public until the end of season 5 of the show, even though it happened during taping.
Every girl in the house got a $1,000 a week allowance to be spent on their looks. Their hair was done for free via their house account at Jose Eber Salon in Beverly Hills, and saving or paying off their personal bills with their allowance was highly discouraged.
The one thing almost every girlfriend had in common was that they came from working-class backgrounds, which we think played a huge part in the girls being dazzled by the fame and money in order to stay within the mansion walls.
