Photography by Bibora Photography[/caption]Tell us about your career as model. How did you get started?Four years ago I moved to Prague to study at Charles University. I was always interested in photography and modeling industry but didn´t have enough confidence to give it a try. But 3 years ago I realized that if I wanna pursue my dreams I should do something for it and not just wait for them to happen.Did you always want to be a model or did you have other career aspirations when you were growing up?Well to be honest I didn´t want to be a model in a first place. I wanted to be an archeologist, then a psychiatrist, a psychologist. Now I´m studying Molecular biology. But with time I realized what I love the most and that´s standing in front of the camera. I enjoy being creative, trying different clothes, make-up ideas, meeting new people and traveling.Do you love any one genre of modelling more than another? That´s a very difficult question. I love all the genres but recently I prefer to shoot latex and boudoir images. However, I like doing fashion, artistic and dreamy shoots as well. What was your first shoot as a model like? Tell us a little about it!Honestly I don´t remember the first professional one. But I remember when and who started my modeling carrier. I went to Berlin with a friend of mine and we got approached by a stranger. He was a photographer and wanted to take a few photos of us for his book. I was really excited as by that time I was already thinking about modeling and seeing a photographer likes my look made me more confident and made me to actually start the carrier. You’re a latex lover! How did you first get into latex?Yes I am. I did my first latex shoot last summer. I went to Scotland and agreed to do some shoots while I´m there. I was asked to do a latex one and I didn´t like it much for the first time. But then when I got back home Guldor Photography wanted to do another one and I started to enjoy it a lot. Then I did some collaborations with amazing Czech designers (Sharene Latex & PVC fashion and Fashion by Adrienne, latex & corsets) and now I´m heading to the Netherlands for my first Dominatrix party where I´ll walk for Eudoxia´s latex and do shoots for designers like Catriona Stewart.Do you have any latex pet peeves? Not really. I quite enjoy wearing latex, Wearing it makes me feel strong, powerful and sexy. You’re a brand ambassador for Cosine Couture – congratulations! What does it mean to be a brand ambassador?Thank you. Well I represent the brand in a direct and positive way. Do the promotion, wear the designs for the shoots and in the future I will also go to different events and stores where I will talk to people and offer them the brand designs there. As an ambassador you travel to universities and colleges to speak about the damage of the beauty myth. What is the beauty myth, and what advice do you have for new models or young women in general who may fall under its spell? The beauty myth is basically that you have to be 180 cm tall and your measurements should be 90-60-90 to become a model and to be considered as perfect. That´s just a myth. Everyone is beautiful. To realize that, we have to learn to accept ourselves the way we are. When I was 15 years old I didn´t feel well in my body and had some eating issues as I desperately wanted to become a model and lived under the beauty myth spell. But fortunately I soon realized it´s not the way to go. I´m still struggling sometimes but who isn´t? What I do is helping other people and that makes me feel better and it helps me to deal with my own issues. If you don´t like something about yourself make it your strength, don´t try to hide it or cover it in any way. Making pros out of your weaknesses is the best. You´ll learn that what you see as an imperfection a lot of people see as a beauty. That´s a way how I learnt to like my body and my freckles. ;) So my message is... Be yourself! Love yourself! Be different! Help each other! Learn to love your “imperfections“ as what you think is an imperfection is a pure perfection to someone else.
Photography by Danny Worm[/caption]Could you tell us a bit about your tattoos? Which was your first?Of course. I got the very first one three or four years ago. It´s a feather with birds on my hip. It´s a symbol of freedom to me. The next one was a quotation by Coco Chanel on my ribs. It says: In order to be irreplaceable one must always be different. I try to live by this motto. The third one is a dragonfly on my back symbolizing strength, peace and harmony. Dragonfly has a short life and that reminds me that I should live my life to its fullest.Has having tattoos helped your sense of body positivity?Yes definitely. They helped me to realize who I am, who I want to be and also helped me to get through some difficult times as I wasn´t always the positively thinking and confident girl I am now.Are you planning any more for the future?Yes I cannot wait to get the fourth one at the end of March – moon phases on my forearm. And I want some more of course. Right now I´m thinking two or three over.Do you have any concepts for future shoots that you’re just dying to try out?Well I really want to try underwater shoots. They´re just amazing...What do you consider your biggest career highlights so far?I´m still at the beginning of my carrier. The highlights are then becoming a Super Hero Ammbassador for Cosine Couture, all the collaborations with amazing designers, walking for Eudoxia´s Latex at Dominatrix and the publications of course. How much have you changed since you first started modelling?A lot. I hope in a good way... :DDo you have any tips for new models that find you inspiring?Be yourself! Be different! Believe in yourself! Don´t let anyone bring you down! Follow your dreams, work hard and never give up!To find more from Satoria, don’t forget to like her on Facebook!
