
Food and sex should go hand in hand because of the fact that they both release the same feel good endorphins that keep you coming back for more. So while you would think that food and sex would compliment each other, the truth is, there are certain foods out there you may be eating that are killing your sex drive without you even knowing it. But as always, we’re here to help by telling you which foods you should avoid if you’re planning on getting hot and heavy anytime soon.
Chocolate. You’d think that this delicious treat would be perfect for a pre sex snack, but unfortunately we’re here to deliver the bad news— it’s not. While a lot of people think that chocolate is an aphrodisiac, it actually lowers the libido in women, subsequently also lowering their sex drive.
Beans. Beans are extremely high in fiber, which is good for your overall health, but not good for your sex life. Not only do beans make you gassy, but they also give you an increased urge to use the bathroom, and we’re not talking number one. This is definitely guaranteed to make you feel less than sexy.

Soy. While a little but of soy won’t do you much harm, consuming too much at a time will also interfere with your libido. Not only that, but it’s been known to lower a man’s testosterone levels.

Mint. If you’re trying to get rid of your bad breath before a date, it’s best advised that you don’t instinctively pop a mint, especially if you’re a man. The methol in mint has been proven to lower testosterone, thus lowering tour sex drive.
Fish. When you’re out on a date and inspecting the menu for what you want to eat, make sure you steer clear of the fish section. According to Medical Daily, fish contains a waste chemical called polychlorinated biphenyls that not only cause cancer in adults, but can complete erase a woman’s sex drive.

Fried foods. Not only will excessively eating fried foods clog up your arteries, but it’ll will also cause abnormal sperm production for men, which in turn interfere with a woman’s gestation. Avoid eating french fries especially!

Microwave popcorn. If you absolutely have to eat popcorn, make sure you opt for the kind that you can cook over a stove. According to Medical Daily, there are chemicals inside the lining of microwaveable popcorn bag that contains certain acids that lower sperm count.
Licorice.For those very few people out there that actually like licorice, eating too much of it will lower your sex drive because of the fact that it contains an ingredient called glycyrrhizin that reduces the testosterone levels in a men.

Diet soda. Whether you prefer it because of the taste or because you’re trying to get rid of some extra calories in your diet, any kind of diet soda has an artificial sweetener in it that reduces your levels of serotnin (the happy hormone), and takes the enjoyment out of basically everything— including sex.

Cheese. Cheese, alongside most other dairy products are full of synthetic hormones that can mess with your natural hormones, which includes estrogen and testosterone.
Coffee. Too much caffeine makes you jittery, especially if you’re someone who suffers from a caffeine sensitivity. While you’re likely to have more energy for sex, all the anxiety you’ll feel will kill your entire sex drive.

Refined carbs. Any food made with a bleached white floury like pasta, bread, crackers, and cereal will lower testosterone levels in men, while the sugars in the carbs will make you feel lethargic and without any desire to have sex.

Processed baked goods. The problem with baked goods and sweets is that they contain an absurd amount of sugar in them. Too much sugar will result in your blood sugar levels to increase quickly, which results in a sugar crash right after. This causes fatigue and reduces your energy, and sex drive dramatically.
Beer. Alcohol inhibits a man’s ability to perform no matter what type it is, but it’s beer especially that will diminish your sex drive. A chemical present in the hops used to make the beer also interfere with your hormones. If you have to drink, stay away from beer!
Asparagus. While this veggie in particular might not reduce your sex drive, it might make your nether regions smell a bit funky, which could be the biggest mood killer of all. If you’re looking to get lucky later on, avoid eating asparagus!
