Feel-Good Orgasm Myths Debunked

Men can’t have multiple orgasms: While many can’t ejaculate more than once in a short period of time, it isn’t impossible. Also, a man does not have to ejaculate to have an orgasm.

Women should be able to orgasm from intercourse alone: This is false as only about 30% of women can achieve an orgasm from just having intercourse.

Sex is only fun if you orgasm: Having an orgasm may be the ultimate goal of a sexual experience, but it is not necessary to make it a good experience. Sex isn’t only about having an orgasm, it is about bonding and getting intimate with a partner.

You can always tell when a woman is faking it: You cannot always tell if a woman is faking it. Some fake it so well, they should receive an Oscar for it.

If a woman doesn’t achieve an orgasm, it is the man’s fault: There are many things that a woman can do to stop herself from having an orgasm. Stress and over-thinking are factors that can stop a woman from achieving an orgasm.

Sex toys are just as good as a partner: This is untrue. While you can still get off with a toy, a partner provides intimacy and passion, which a toy does not.

It is easier for guys to orgasm than girls: This is also untrue. It depends on the person. There are guys who can get off in a few seconds and others who will take forever to get off.

Women don’t ejaculate: Women can actually ejaculate during sex. This can come as a small amount of milky white fluid or a large amount of fluid which is known as “squirting.”

Woman can only have clitoral orgasms: This is false, some woman can orgasm from penetration while others can orgasm solely from nipple stimulation.

An orgasm only lasts a few seconds: There are many types of orgasms that vary in duration and intensity. Some last for a few seconds while others last much longer.

Women are the only ones who can fake an orgasm: Men can fake them too and it is especially easy to do when they are using a condom.

All orgasms should be really intense: Orgasms come in all types of intensities. It all depends on the person.

Women can’t orgasm from anal sex: There are many women who can orgasm during anal sex. There are many nerve endings down there which are incredibly sensitive. If you enjoy those sensations, then you can definitely orgasm from it.

Orgasms deplete your energy and make you tired: This depends on the person. Some do get tired after they achieve orgasm, while others gain energy from it.
