Millennials are considered the most sexually accepting generation, and are credited for inventing "hook up culture." But these surprising statistics about their sex lives will shock you. Check out how millennials are changing sex!
According to studies, millennials don’t have as much sex as you’d think.
Even though millennials are considered as the most sexually tolerant generation, they have sex with relatively less people than generations before them.

On average,
millennials have sex with 8.26 people.
In comparison, Americans born in the 1950s had sex on average with 11.68 people.
According to statistics, millennials lose their virginity at later ages.
And they get married at older ages.
As a result, divorce rates have gone down over the past few years.
62% of millennials agree that pre-martial sex is “not wrong at all.”
Compared to the
47% of people born in the early 1970s.
70% of millennials are in favor of same-sex marriage, while 59% of genX’ers and 45% of baby boomers are.
According to studies, millennials are more likely to admit to having casual sex than other generations.
Despite millennials being the originators of “hook up culture,”
researchers have a theory as to why millennials are having less sex with less people than other generations.
Because millennials grew up more aware of AIDS and STDs, experts believe that they are more picky about who and how many people they sleep with.
So that means they’re more likely to have casual sex with one partner. Meaning, more millennials have one friend with benefits, and other generations just had a lot of them.
