My Review

This was the first laptop i've bought so i didn't really know what i was expecting as i'm usually a desktop PC person. When i was looking around the internet for a new laptop and i saw this HP and was immediately interested because it had the new i3 processor and it was even cheaper than some laptop with older and slower processors. I especially liked how it had a built-in webcam and mic. However, a point i noticed was that the battery life wasn't really that long, but as i'm used to a desktop PC, i don't really know if it's battery such as Hp Pavilion ZV5000 battery(Hp zv5000 battery), Hp Pavilion ZV6000 battery(Hp zv6000 battery), Hp Pavilion DV1000 battery(Hp dv1000 battery), Hp PF723A battery, Hp PM579A battery, Hp Pavilion DV4000 battery(Hp dv4000 battery) is good life for a laptop. Also, after a few months, the left-click button on the mouse started to become loose, may be it was just me clicking it too hard or poor quality design, but it doesn't really affect me so it doesn't matter.

i chose this laptop because it was a good all rounder, i'd heard from friends that HP was a good brand, and this laptop had the new i3 processor and cheaper than other older processor laptops

My Review

This was our first experience with a laptop. Beware, we owned this computer for approx. 6 weeks when it malfunctioned. We were using it while it was plugged in to a power source and got a pop stating there was less then 7 percent power available and the computer shut down. Despite being plugged in to a power souce, it would not power up. Our call to the HP help center was not helpful. We got more help from the retailer but the bottom line was that we had to take the unit to an HP retailer, let them diagnose the problem and then send the unit to a repair service. If you are counting on reliability this is not the computer to buy.

ThinkPad X41

Welcome to a Laptop Battery specialist
of IBM Laptop Battery   First post by: www.laptop-battery-stores.com

The Lenovo ThinkPad X41 Tablet ultraportable is a nice upgrade to the X series of notebooks, but its old design and lack of features have dropped it from being the best for consumers.

The ThinkPad X series have always been strong seller thanks in part to the corporate business that IBM draws. With the purchase by Lenovo, it was uncertain what innovation would be brought to this venerable product line. The new ThinkPad X41 Tablet is the first major product release since the purchase.

What sets the X41 Tablet apart from other ultraportables is its ability to be used as a Tablet PC thanks to the touch screen and the XP Tablet operating system. The screen is convertible meaning that it can be used as a regular notebook or flipped around to be carried and written on just like a pad of paper.

Powering the X41 Tablet is the Intel Pentium M 758 (1.5GHz) processor. This is a more powerful processor than is used by most ultraportables which gives it much stronger performance but it also uses more power giving it a somewhat lower life battery such as IBM 02K6928 Battery, IBM 02K6620 Battery, IBM 02K7039 Battery, IBM ThinkPad X60 Battery, IBM FRU 92P1167 Battery, IBM ThinkPad Z60t Battery, IBM ThinkPad Z61t Battery, IBM 40Y6793 Battery, IBM FRU 92P1125 Battery, IBM FRU 92P1121 Battery. This is an acceptable trade off for most users. The 512MB of PC2-4200 DDR2 memory gives it much faster response times to memory intensive applications.

One thing that Lenovo has not brought to the X41 tablet is an optical drive. It still lacks any form of CD or DVD storage that limits its portability by the need for an external device not included. The 40GB hard drive is about average for the ultraportable market.

The ThinkPad X41 Tablet is a nice upgrade to the X series of ultraportables, but it is showing its age in design and the lack of features that are overshadowed by other companies.

Lenovo IdeaPad Y460 Laptop PC

Welcome to a Laptop Battery specialist
of IBM Laptop Battery   First post by: www.laptop-battery-stores.com

Lenovo's IdeaPad Y460 may seem a bit expensive with a price tag just over $1000 but it offers a number of welcome features. The excellent switchable graphics let users choose between high performance or longer battery life depending upon their needs. The unique SlideNav also allows for quick application launching. Users will just have to get through a few quirks with the keyboard layout and the preloaded software.

Pros

•Switchable Graphics System

•Above Average Battery Life

•Unique Touchcontrol Functions

Cons

•Glossy Surfaces Around Keyboard Show Fingerprints And Smudges Easily

•Function And Control Keys Swapped

•Lots Of Unnecessary Software Installed

Description

•Intel Core i5-520M Dual Core Mobile Processor

•4GB PC3-8500 DDR3 Memory

•500GB 5400rpm SATA Hard Drive

•8x DVD+/-RW Dual Layer Burner

•14" WXGA (1366x768) LED Backlit Display With 1.3 Megapixel Webcam

•Switchable ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5650 Graphics With 1GB Memory And Intel GMA 4500MHD

•Gigabit Ethernet, 802.11b/g/n Wireless, Bluetooth

•Four USB 2.0, eSATA, HDMI, VGA, 4-in-1 Card Reader

•13.4" x 9.3" x 1.3" @ 4.9 lbs.

•Windows 7 Home Premium, McAfee Security Center

Lenovo's IdeaPad Y460 upgrades the platform to use the new Intel Core 2010 series of mobile processors. This $1000 version of the laptop comes equipped with the Core i5-520M dual core processor that gives it a fair amount of performance without drawing too much power or producing too much heat like the Core i7 laptops. It is matched up with 4GB of DDR3 memory to let it run applications smoothly within the Windows 7 operating system.

Storage features on the IdeaPad Y460 are fairly common for laptops in the $1000 price range. Lenovo focused on storage capacity rather than performance by including a 500GB hard drive that spins at a more sedate 5400rpm rate. A standard dual layer DVD burner handles playback and recording of CD and DVD media.

One of the big feature additions to the IdeaPad Y460 is a switchable graphics system. The tested model came equipped with a dedicated ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5650 graphics processor with 1GB memory. It also features an integrated Intel GMA 4500MHD. A small switch on the front allows the graphics system to be switched between the two provided certain applications aren't running. This gives the system the benefit of being able to use accelerated 3D graphics to play games up to the 14-inch display's 1366x768 resolution or to conserve battery such as IBM 08K8199 Battery, IBM 08K8198 Battery, IBM 08K8197 Battery, IBM 92P1075 Battery, IBM ThinkPad R40 Battery, IBM ThinkPad R32 Battery, IBM 02K7054 Battery, IBM ThinkPad A20 Battery, IBM ThinkPad A20M Battery, IBM ThinkPad A21M Battery when 3D graphics or accelerated features are not needed. On the whole it worked well although had some issues when attempting to switch it via the software interface.

The switchable graphics actually has a very dramatic effect on battery life. With the dedicated graphics enabled, the IdeaPad Y460 was able to run for two hours in my DVD playback test. This is fairly common among laptops that use the six-cell battery packs. The same test done with the integrated graphics pushes the same DVD playback test to an amazing three and a half hours. This puts it at an above average running time for this test.

Lenovo is well known for its keyboard designs. The IdeaPad uses a different layout from their popular ThinkPad designs but it is still very comfortable to use with little to no flex. I dislike the location of the function key on the outside of the left control key which can impact those using it for PC gaming. The trackpad location can also be problematic. At times when typing my palm would accidently touch the pad and shift the cursor. This could cause problems in some applications.

A unique feature to the IdeaPad Y460 is a new series of touch controls above the keyboard that include a touch sensitive slide bar called the SlideNav. This has a number of functions but the customizable shortcuts is probably the most useful. Just by moving your finger along to the appropriate location can launch one of your chosen applications.

HP dv6880se Special Light Notebook

Welcome to a Laptop Battery specialist
of Hp laptop battery   First post by: www.laptop-battery-stores.com

The special edition HP Pavilion dv6880se is probably one of the least expensive laptops available to feature a Blu-ray compatible drive. This makes it an excellent hi-definition mobile movie player even with its limited resolution display. Of course, it packs enough other features to do just about any task, execpt maybe for 3D gaming.

For a special edition notebook, the Pavilion dv6880se actually doesn't really look all that different from a standard Pavilion dv6000. The main difference is in the general appearance. The dv6880se uses silver for the keyboard and has a white LCD lib cover with Influx print over the more traditional black and silver designs.

HP's Pavilion dv6880se laptop uses a bit older Intel Core 2 Duo T5550 dual core processor rather than a newer T7000 or even T8000 series. This does give it a bit less performance than the newer models and it doesn't have as strong life of battery such as Hp Pavilion ZE2000 battery(Hp ze2000 battery), compaq Presario M2000 battery(compaq m2000 battery), Compaq Presario V2000 battery(compaq v2000 battery), Hp pavillion zx5000 battery(Hp zx5000 battery), Hp PP2200 battery, Hp 338794-001 battery, but it still has more than enough processing power for the average consumer. The 3GB of DDR2 memory is also a nice step up from the standard 2GB. This allows the system to run a bit more smoothly with the Vista operating system.

With the death of the HD-DVD format, Blu-ray is now the defacto high definition video format. HP has managed to include a Blu-ray ROM and DVD burner combo drive on the Pavilion dv6880se. This is probably one of the least expensive notebooks on the market to feature such a drive. This makes the laptop a great mobile movie platform. The darwback to this is the screen doesn't have high enough resolution to support the 1080p resolution. There is an HDMI output to hook it up to a TV though.

The biggest flaw with the dv6880se though is the graphics. It does feature a NVIDIA GeForce 8400M GS graphics processor, but this lacks much of the performance required for those that might think of using it for 3D PC gaming. It does provide a nice performance boost for decoding high definition video streams though.

HP Pavilion dv1440us

Welcome to a Laptop Battery specialist
of Hp laptop battery   First post by: www.laptop-battery-stores.com

HP's Pavilion dv1440us is a fairly compact thin and light notebook computer with a good amount of power from a processor that is held back by compromises in its specifications.

Pros

•Fast Pentium M Processor

•Full Gigabyte Memory

•Large Capacity Hard Drive

Cons

•Slower PC2700 DDR Memory

•Lower Spin Rate for Hard Drive

Description

•Intel Pentium M 760 (2.0GHz) Processor

•1GB PC2700 DDR Memory

•100GB 4200rpm ATA Hard Drive

•8x DVD+/-RW DL Burner

•14" WXGA (1280x800) LCD Display

•Intel GMA 900 Integrated Graphics with 128MB Shared Memory

•v.90 56Kbps Modem, 10/100 Ethernet and 802.11g Wireless

•Three USB 2.0, FireWire, Type II PC Card Slot and 6-in-1 Card Reader

•13.2" x 9.2" x 1.2" @ 5.3 lbs.

•Windows XP Home, MS Works, Money, Excarta, WinDVD, iTunes, Norton Internet Security

HP has a large selection of thin and light notebooks that fit a wide range of functions. The HP Pavilion dv1440us looks to provide performance in a package smaller than the average thin and light notebook.

Powering the dv1440us is a very strong Pentium M 760 (2.0GHz) processor. This lets the system perform very well in processor intensive applications but still provides good battery like Hp 345027-001 battery, Hp 342661-001 battery, Hp pavilion dv6000 battery(Hp dv6000 battery), Hp Pavilion dv8000 battery(Hp dv8000 battery), Hp HSTNN-DB20 battery, Hp 395789-001 battery, Hp 396008-001 battery, Hp 398876-001 battery HP has included a full gigabyte of memory that lets it run even memory intensive applications without much problem. The only drawback is the system uses slower PC2700 DDR that does hold it back a bit.

Storage is overall very strong. A very large 100GB hard drive provides plenty of space for digital files and applications. The drive does spin at a slower 4200rpm speed that can limit its performance compared to the 5400rpm drives starting to be used prominently. The 8X DVD+/-RW drive also supports dual layered media allowing it to read and record music, movie and data CDs or DVDs. The 6-in-1 media card reader allows it to use a larger number of media cards than most thin and light notebooks.

Instead of the more prevalent 15.4” wide screen display, the dv1440us uses a slightly smaller 14” wide screen that allows the system to be more compact. It does rely on the integrated Intel GMA 900 graphics limiting its ability to do much 3D applications such as gaming.

HP's dv1440us is a good mix of performance and storage capabilities that comes in a portable package.

IdeaPad S10-2 Laptop PC

Welcome to a Laptop Battery specialist
of IBM Laptop Battery   First post by: www.laptop-battery-stores.com

Lenovo's IdeaPad S10-2 is a reworking of their original netbook that doesn't really change much. There are a few changes to the exterior and the new 6-cell battery pack standard. Even with the larger battery pack, the battery life can't quite reach the same levels as some other netbooks. The instant-on OS feature is quite useful for those doing some quick tasks and the speakers are some of the best in the netbook class. Still, there just isn't enough to set the IdeaPad S10-2 apart from a crowded market.

The Lenovo S10-2 is a redesign of their original netbook that looked to modify a few of the originals features and to try and improve the battery life. The system now comes standard with a 6-cell battery pack that gives it much improved running time over the original S10 but falls short of what the competition has to offer. In a very aggressive streaming video test, it was able to run for about three and a half hours. Under normal usage, this translate to rough five to six hours.

While the battery life may not be as good as the competition, the Lenovo does have the advantage of being lighter and smaller. With the 6-cell battery such as IBM 08K8193 Battery, IBM 08K8192 Battery, IBM 92P1101 Battery, IBM 92P1089 Battery, IBM 92P1087 Battery, DELL 08K8194 Battery, IBM 08K8196 Battery, IBM 92P1102 Battery, IBM 92P1077 Battery, IBM 92P1073 Battery, the system weighs just 2.8 pounds which is well below the three pounds or more than many other netbooks with large batteries weigh. The battery of course does stick out from the back of the netbook but the rest of the system is thinner than the original.

One of the unique aspects of the original IdeaPad S10 was the inclusion of an ExpressCard slot. For the S10-2, they have removed this slot and replaced it with a much more standard third USB 2.0 port. They keyboard is still good for its size but the trackpad is another matter. It is too sensitive that it easily registers that it was touched while typing and frequently registered clicks while the cursor was being dragged.

Two features that many may really like about the S10-2 are the speakers and QuickStart OS. The speakers on this netbook are some of the best I've heard and frankly can actually too loud in some situations. Even though they are loud, they did not distort the audio. The QuickStart OS is also useful for times when you just need to get to a few basic applications such as web, IM, Skype or listen to music without the painfully long XP boot times.

Pros

•Under Three Pounds With 6-Cell Battery Pack

•Quick Start OS

•Very Good Speakers for Such a Small Laptop

Cons

•Touchpad Is Too Sensitive

•Agressive Power Settings Can't Be Changed

•Battery Life Not Quite as Long as Some Other Netbooks

Description

•Intel Atom N270 Mobile Processor

•1GB PC2-5300 DDR2 Memory

•160GB 5400rpm SATA Hard Drive

•10.1-inch WSVGA (1024x600) LED Backlit Display With 1.3 Megapixel Webcam

•Intel GMA 950 Integrated Graphics

•Fast Ethernet, 802.11b/g Wireless

•Three USB 2.0, VGA, 4-in-1 Card Reader

•10.2" x 7.6" x 1.8" @ 2.8 lbs.

•Windows XP Home, Norton Internet Security

Sony VAIO W

Welcome to a Laptop Battery specialist
of Sony laptop battery   First post by: www.laptop-battery-stores.com

Sony's VAIO W is certainly a lot more affordable than their original P series netbook, but at $500 the system is still too expensive for the features that it carries. Sure, it has features such as 802.11n and Bluetooth but the main reason to look at this netbook is the 10.1-inch screen with its very high resolution and bright and colorful rendering. Of course, the glossy coating makes it hard to use and the keyboard is smaller than it could be. Sony really needs to reconsider its price or improve the design as there are better overall choices.

Pros

•Very Good High Resolution Display

•Nice Trackpad

•802.11n and Bluetooth Support

Cons

•Expensive

•Limited Battery Life With 3-Cell Battery such as Sony VGP-BPS2A battery, Sony VGP-BPL2 battery, Sony VGP-BPS3 battery, Sony VGP-BPS5 battery, Sony VGP-BPS8 battery, Sony VGP-BPS9 battery, Sony VGP-BPS10 battery, Sony PCG-R505 battery, Sony PCG-V505 battery, Sony PCG-Z505 battery

•Keyboard Too Small for Netbook Size

Description

•Intel Atom N280 Mobile Processor

•1GB PC2-4200 DDR2 Memory

•160GB 5400rpm SATA Hard Drive

•10.1" WXGA (1366x768) LED Backlit Display With 1.3 Megapixel Webcam

•Intel GMA 950 Integrated Graphics

•Fast Ethernet, 802.11b/g/n Wireless, Bluetooth

•Two USB 2.0, VGA, Memory Stick Slot, SD Card Slot

•10.5" x 7.1" x 1.3" @ 2.6 lbs.

•Windows XP Home, VAIO Suite, Works, Norton Internet Security

Sony's VAIO W doesn't really set itself apart from other netbooks in just about any way other than price. Sure, it uses a slightly faster Intel Atom N280 processor, but it still has the same memory and hard drive restrictions as every other Windows XP based netbook. The problem is that Sony for some reason thinks it can charge $500 for a netbook that costs roughly $400 from its competitors.

Sony continues to use their isolated keyboard layout that does help prevent pushing multiple keys. The problem is that the keyboard is a good inch narrower than the width of the netbook. This makes the VAIO W more difficult to type on then it should be. At least the smaller keyboard does provide some additional space for the trackpad and buttons that is one of the better on the market for a netbook.

What really sets the Sony VAIO W apart from other netbooks is the display. With a 1366x768 resolution packed into a 10.1-inch display, this screen has an extremely sharp display. This may cause problems for some with less than perfect eyesight. The LED backlighting on it provides an extremely colorful and bright display that is a joy for full view web page viewing or watching video. All of this is fine until you try to use it outdoors and the glossy coating makes it pretty much useless due to reflections and glare.

The connectivity options are also quite good on the VAIO W thanks to support of the faster 802.11n wireless standard and Bluetooth. The problem is that these features can be found on netbooks for $100 or more less than what Sony is charging.

Battery life on the VAIO W is limited because of Sony's use of a smaller 3-cell battery. In video playback tests, it wasn't even able to run for two and a half hours. This is far from what can be achieved from netbooks using similar features but with a 6-cell battery.

Fujitsu M2010 Netbook Laptop PC

Welcome to a Laptop Battery specialist
of Fujitsu Laptop Battery

Fujitsu's first entry into the netbook market falls short. It feels lieka system designed over a year ago with the flaws found previously in other netbooks that have since been corrected. The biggest issue though is the overall cost. For $450, the unit is just too expensive compared to similarly equipped netbooks that cost almost $100 less. Then there is the issue with the extremely poor battery life with the base 3-cell battery that is well below average.

Pros

•Nice Bright LED Backlit Screen

•Strong Speakers For a Netbook

Cons

•Keyboard Is Too Small

•Poor Battery Life From 3-Cell Battery like Fujitsu FPCBP80 Battery, Fujitsu FPCBP77 Battery, Fujitsu FPCBP68 Battery, Fujitsu FPCBP63 Battery, Fujitsu FPCBP95 Battery, Fujitsu LifeBook C1320 battery, Fujitsu FPCBP115 Battery, Fujitsu LifeBook C1321 battery, Fujitsu FPCBP152 battery, Fujitsu FPCBP130 battery

•Expensive For Features

Description

•Intel Atom N270 Mobile Processor

•1GB PC2-5300 DDR2 Memory

•160GB 5400rpm SATA Hard Drive

•10.1-inch WSVGA (1024x576) LED Backlit Display With 1.3 Megapixel Webcam

•Intel GMA 950 Integrated Graphics

•Fast Ethernet, 802.11b/g Wireless, Bluetooth

•Three USB 2.0, VGA, 4-in-1 Card Reader

•10.2" x 7.4" x 1.3" @ 2.5 lbs.

•Windows XP Home

Fujitsu's bright red M2010 netbook may stand out in terms of its color, but the features aren't all that much different from what the netbook market has seen over the past year. In fact, the $449 price tag is well beyond what similarly equipped netbooks from the likes of Acer, ASUS, Dell and even HP are offering. This alone makes it a hard one to recommend but there are other design issues with the M2010.

The keyboard is relatively small for the 10-inch netbook segment. While the base keyboard is alright, the problem is with the left side. The Tab, Shift, Caps Lock are all a reduced size that make them more difficult to use. The right shift key is also reduced and placed between the question mark and up arrow keys. These are issues that other makers have had in their designs in the past, but pretty much all of them have dealt with them for improved keyboard layouts.

Battery life is another big issue for the Fujitsu M2010. The system only ships with a 3-cell battery which is fine for a low profile design, but it provides it with very limited running time. In fact, during video playback tests, the system was unable to provide even two hours of use before running out of charge. A 6-cell pack is available after purchase but at a steep $129 list price.

There are a couple bright spots in the M2010 design however. Most notable is the 10.1-inch display on the unit. This LED backlit display provides a very bright and colorful display that is well above average for the netbook segment. Is it enough to justify the price? Not really but at least it is something to consider.

The other surprising aspect of the M2010 is the speakers. They provide a very clear audio experience with very strong volumes levels for such a small package. It is easy tempting to almost use the system as a portable audio platform.

Toshiba R400-S4931

Welcome to a Laptop Battery specialist
of Toshiba Laptop Battery   First post by: www.laptop-battery-stores.com

Despite recent rave reviews for its ultraportable convertible tablet, the Portege M200, Toshiba seems to have taken a step backward with its new Portege R400-S4931. It is for the most part a successful--and fashionable-looking--notebook, with good speed for its class. But its screen is too thick and unresponsive to work well as a notepad. Considering that some of its other features could have been better executed as well, recommending the this laptop would be difficult even if it didn't cost a jaw-dropping $3499 (as of April 11, 2007).

A sturdy magnesium-polycarbonate unit, the R400-S4931 weighs a light 3.8 pounds--not including a dual-layer DVD writer, which you have to attach separately as a USB peripheral. The quoted weight also excludes the unit's add-on 4000-milliamp battery, a 1.9-pound bottom slice included in the box and intended to augment the primary 4000-milliamp battery such as Toshiba PA3399U-1BRS Battery, Toshiba PA3395U-1BRS Battery, Toshiba PA3250U-1BRS Battery, Toshiba PA3356U-1BRS Battery, Toshiba PA3291U-1BRS Battery, Toshiba PA3506U-1BRS Battery, Toshiba PA3591U-1BRS Battery, Toshiba Portege 4000 Battery, Toshiba Satellite A10 Battery, Toshiba Satellite A100 Battery. We needed both batteries to achieve a run time of 5.5 hours from the R400-S4931 in our battery tests. Together, the batteries bump the system's weight up to almost 6 pounds.

These design choices don't especially detract from the R400-S4931 as notebook. It has a big, comfortably slanted keyboard (thanks to the battery slice) and a tremendously bright LED-backlit 12.1-inch screen. Fashionistas will appreciate the eye-popping black and white case. On the other hand, tablet users will find the extra weight a bit onerous, and keeping track of the extra pieces is a hassle.

Like many other wireless-capable notebooks, the R400-S4931 has no modem jack, but it also lacks a next-generation ExpressCard slot and a shared memory card slot. It is fully equipped for wireless communications, however, with integrated Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and Verizon EvDO cellular broadband. A one-line status LCD on the front of the unit uses wireless networking and Vista's new SideShow capability to keep on-the-go professionals zeroed in on their next appointment. The LCD synchronizes and displays e-mail and calendar notifications and status information such as Wi-Fi activity, battery life, and time, even when the notebook is in suspend mode or completely turned off. Because the LCD remains visible at all times, you can stay in the communications loop with just a quick glance.

For use as a tablet, the R400-S4931's screen easily turns 180 degrees and closes against the keyboard for writing, but there are no visual cues (like the arrow most tablets have) imprinted near the hinge, so you might turn it the wrong way. Tablet buttons are plentiful and easy to customize to make navigating your work in tablet mode easier. Not everything worked smoothly, though. Changing to tablet mode automatically rotates the screen to portrait mode, but changing the orientation after that can be troublesome. We had to press the orientation button beneath the LCD repeatedly while holding and jiggling the unit in its new position; and the picture took several seconds to change.

The screen's glossy, scratch-resistant coating makes the notebook display great, and writing on it in tablet mode was fairly easy once we got used to the extra thickness. But that glossy layer seemed to get in the way of taps. We had to tap hard and sometimes more than once to register choices.

Performance is another weak area for the R400-S4931. Equipped with a 1.2-GHz Core Duo U2500 processor and 2GB of RAM, it posted a fair WorldBench 6 Beta 2 score of 48. Its slow 4200-rpm hard drive probably contributed to its pedestrian performance.

The R400-S4931 is stylish, and its side LED and wireless-focused design may be trailblazing. But too many design inconveniences, along with difficult tablet input, make this model one of Toshiba's rare unsuccessful efforts.

Choose a Hp dv9000 adapter

Welcome to a Ac Adapter specialist
of HP Ac Adapter   First post by: www.laptop-battery-stores.com

It's a quite busy day and you get tons of work to do with your Hp pavilion dv9000 ac adapter, just a moment and you find that the power of your notebook is fluctuating.well, you open your laptop bag to make sure that you have gotten your trusty AC adapter. The new laptop usually has the Hp pavilion dv9000 AC adapter, which is used for charging laptop batteries and supplying power directly to the laptop. If you travel a lot to different countries or have more than one laptop, you should definitely need one HP AC adapter such as HP Pavilion dv6000 Adapter, HP Pavilion dv7 Adapter, HP Pavilion dv4 Adapter, HP Compaq 6910p Adapter, HP Compaq nc6220 Adapter, HP Pavilion dv1207us Adapter, HP Pavilion dv5 Adapter, HP Compaq nx9420 Adapter, HP Compaq nx6115 Adapter, HP Compaq 2230s Adapter.

Udtek focuses on the factors to look for when purchasing a Hp pavilion dv9000 ac adapter for your HP laptop, but it may be applied to any application needing a regulated HP AC Adapter. When following this guide, take into account your own application, and appropriately weigh each factor.

1.Get bigger adapters. Although not a guarantee, there's a strong correlation between weight and quality: bigger components (ie, capacitors) equate to a more tolerant, reliable Hp pavilion dv9000 ac adapter . This is one downside to a 120mm fan: while it does provide quieter cooling, the components to be cooled must be more tightly packed. If you don't care about noise, an 80mm cooling fan in the traditional place on the rear of the dv9000 ac adapter may offer better value.

2.Inquire if the HP laptop computer manufacturers directly replacement accessories. Open your Internet browser and go to the HP manufacturer's Web site. Click "Product Support" part of the site. Looking for a "replacement accessories", "accessories and upgrades," or similar name parts of the site. Type your site's search box and type "Hp pavilion dv9000 ac adapter" or click on the model supported by the notebook computer models of products in inventory. Review the list of replacement parts on the power adapter, and then click, if available. Products to add to your online shopping cart, and purchase.

3.Go to an online retailer of computer supplies and replacement parts, such as amazon, udtek. Locate the product search box on the site. Type in the voltage amount you need, plus "power adapter." type in "Hp dv9000 ac adapter " in the search box and press "Enter" on your keyboard. Or, click on the "Laptop accessories" section of the site and the "AC adapters" sub-section. Review the products listed. Add power adapter listed with the correct voltage to your online shopping cart. Order the product and pay for the Hp dv9000 power adapter.

Sony VGN-FZ180E/B

Welcome to a Laptop Battery specialist
of Sony laptop battery   First post by: www.laptop-battery-stores.com

If you can adapt to the Sony VAIO VGN-FZ180E/B's slippery keyboard, you'll like this peppy $1999 laptop. It offers a big, bright screen, weighs very little, and has great battery life.

The VAIO VGN-FZ180E/B is certainly well equipped, with plenty of connections and a huge 200GB hard drive. The Blu-ray Disc drive and HDMI-output port are nice extras, to be sure. Its sound quality is dismal, however, and its A/V button does nothing more than launch Windows Media Player.

But the VAIO's 15.4-inch screen is superb. Based on Sony's proprietary Xbrite HiColor high-contrast technology, it is extremely bright and really makes colors pop. At 5.7 pounds, the VGN-FZ180E/B is light enough that you can easily carry this delectable screen almost anywhere, and the notebook held out for 4 hours, 28 minutes of battery such as Sony VGP-BPS2A battery, Sony VGP-BPL2 battery, Sony VGP-BPS3 battery, Sony VGP-BPS5 battery, Sony VGP-BPS8 battery, Sony VGP-BPS9 battery, Sony VGP-BPS10 battery, Sony PCG-R505 battery, Sony PCG-V505 battery, Sony PCG-Z505 battery life in our tests.

Equipped with a powerful 2-GHz Core 2 Duo T7300 processor and 2GB of RAM, the VAIO turned in a WorldBench 6 Beta 2 score of 75, but the Sony couldn't even launch--much less smoothly run--Far Cry or Doom 3 in our tests.

The keyboard feels a little cheaply made, maybe because the keys are so flat and polished, but the layout is fine. With practice, I got used to the slippery feel.

If you want a top-notch multimedia laptop, look to a Dell Inspiron or a Toshiba Satellite. For a nice work laptop with a great 15.4-inch screen, though, this VAIO fills the bill.

Toshiba U305-S5127 All-Purpose Laptop

Welcome to a Laptop Battery specialist
of Toshiba Laptop Battery   First post by: www.laptop-battery-stores.com

Store-bought fare doesn't get much better than the Toshiba Satellite U305-S5127. It's a preconfigured retail-only Windows Vista Home Premium laptop that hits all the right notes for good portable computing: light heft, bright screen, nice price, and great battery life. It's all there. Even so-so speed and a slightly imperfect keyboard do little to mar the gotta-have-it vibe.

This glossy black, $1350 (as of 10/24/11) all-purpose laptop weighs 4.9 pounds and has a small but very bright 13.3-inch 1280-by-800 screen. The display was so bright that I suspected new LED technology at work in the background, but it is in fact a 250-NIT LCD (an above-average brightness spec) combined with TruBrite technology.

The notebook's battery like Toshiba PA2487U Battery, Toshiba PA3107U-1BRS Battery, Toshiba PA3383U-1BRS Battery, Toshiba PA3384U-1BRS Battery, Toshiba PA3285U-1BRS Battery, Toshiba PA3191U-1BRS Battery, Toshiba PA3166U-1BRS Battery, Toshiba PA3331U-1BRS Battery, Toshiba PA3098U-1BRS Battery, Toshiba PA3084U-1BRS Battery, Toshiba PA3729U-1BRS Battery, a low-profile bar attached to the rear, lasted an incredible 6.1 hours on one charge in our tests--2.2 hours longer than the 3.9-hour average of 14 currently tested all-purpose laptops. In fact, only three ultraportable notebooks we've tested have done better, with the pricey $2558 Fujitsu LifeBook T2010 holding the record of 6 hours, 58 minutes. Costing $1208 less than the T2010, the U305-S5127 gives a huge bang for the buck.

As for speed, this 1.8-GHz Core 2 Duo T7100-equipped unit with 2GB of RAM and shared video memory could have done a tad better. It earned a WorldBench 6 Beta 2 score of 68, six points lower than the average of 74 earned by 14 other currently tested all-purpose laptops. Still, it's plenty fast enough for word processing, e-mail, Internet browsing, light video and graphics editing, and movies.

The petite U305-S5127 comes fully equipped with many ports and connections, including a DVD burner and an ExpressCard slot smartly dovetailed on the sides, with a few others, such as an SD Card slot and a FireWire port, judiciously sprinkled on the front. Built-in antennas cover Wi-Fi and Bluetooth wireless communications, though not the wider-area mobile broadband. The U305-S5127 is not loaded with security features, but it does have a raised area on the bottom that helps protect the 200GB hard drive.

The matte-silver keyboard with its crisp black lettering is a standout both visually and functionally. Keys are slightly raised above the surface of the laptop so they don't touch one another, and they give the laptop an avant-garde look. At first, the tops felt too small to type on, but soon the keyboard's comfortable incline (thanks to the bar battery) and superb layout helped me adjust. Ctrl key freaks will love the fact that this key not only occupies the bottom-left corner spot but also is twice the usual size. If you rely on Ctrl to perform most combination-stroke shortcuts, this nicely designed key alone might be the deciding factor to buy the U305-S5127. Above the keyboard are a row of CD and DVD control buttons and a separate Internet launch button.

The speakers are too raspy to enjoy by themselves, but with headphones and play buttons at your fingertips, the U305-S5127 makes a decent DVD player for coast-to-coast-and-back-again entertainment. My only complaint is about the mouse buttons, which I found too small and forced too far apart by the fingerprint reader to be entirely comfortable. An external mouse handily fixes that problem, though. If you've been spoiled by business-level Microsoft Office applications, you might have to shell out a few more bucks to complete your purchase of the U305-S5127, since the notebook comes bundled with only Microsoft Works 8.5 applications.

Light, parsimonious in its battery consumption, and handsome to boot, the Toshiba Satellite U305-S5127 sells itself.

HP Pavilion dv2500t

Welcome to a Laptop Battery specialist
of Hp laptop battery   First post by: www.laptop-battery-stores.com

With its wavy-pinstripe imprint and glossy-black accents, the dv2500t carries forward the designer HP Pavilion look. Polished to an almost pearlescent sheen, the touchpad looks more like a minor work of art than a pointing device. Improvements include a move up to the Intel Santa Rosa processor family and some tweaks to the ports to introduce more high-definition capabilities. But the screen is still more reflective than most, and there's almost no point in choosing the standard six-cell battery, since its life is so short.

Underneath the glam, the dv2500t is well equipped, albeit with one fewer USB port (a total of two) than its predecessor, the dv2000t, supplied. HP has replaced the third USB port with an HDMI connection for watching high-definition output on a similarly equipped TV.

Our $1439 (as of 9/12/07) review unit was a pretty good deal, offering a few more features than comparably priced all-purpose competitors had. It came with a fingerprint reader and Webcam (each $25 extra), the top-of-the-line 160GB hard drive, and an 8X dual-layer DVD burner with laser label-etching capability. A preinstalled copy of Microsoft Works 8 is standard.

The dv2500t is great for kicking back with your favorite CDs and DVDs. HP's instant-on QuickPlay button launches music, movies, slide shows, and videos without requiring you to turn on the notebook. The backlit, pressure-sensitive panel at the top of the keyboard lets you adjust volume and tracks with an easy tap of the finger. The stereo sound doesn't match that of a Toshiba Qosmio or a similar high-end multimedia notebook, but it's still pretty good.

The notebook's 5.5-pound weight makes it an appealing travel companion. To stay in touch on the road, HP offers integrated Wi-Fi 802.11n and Bluetooth ($45 for both and included in our test unit's price). Integrated mobile broadband was not an option at the time we tested, but a $189 Verizon ExpressCard (not included in our price) was. HP currently offers a Pavilion dv2500t Broadband Wireless series, which starts at $1200 and has integrated WWAN connectivity.

Pavilion screens are bright and sharp--and annoyingly reflective under some office lights. The dv2500t's 14.1-inch screen is the perfect size for getting most types of mainstream work done; just remember to tilt it away from the overhead fluorescents.

Performance was a mixed bag, with good speed but less-satisfying battery life. Equipped with a top-of-the-line 2-GHz Core 2 Duo T7300 CPU and 2GB of memory, the dv2500t earned a WorldBench 6 Beta 2 score of 79, four points ahead of two other similarly configured notebooks and five points ahead of the average mark of 74 for all of the all-purpose notebooks we've tested. It played 3D games at a competitive average of 42 frames per second.

Battery life was disappointing, with the standard six-cell lasting just 2.5 hours, almost an hour shorter than average. A Pavilion dv2000t we reviewed last year ran more than 7 hours with an optional 12-cell battery such as Hp pavilion dv6000 battery(Hp dv6000 battery), Hp Pavilion dv8000 battery(Hp dv8000 battery), Hp HSTNN-DB20 battery, Hp 395789-001 battery, Hp 396008-001 battery, Hp 398876-001 battery, Hp Pavilion dv9000 battery(Hp dv9000 battery). Though our testing methods have changed since then, it's a fairly safe bet that the battery upgrade is still well worth the extra $49, providing the added benefit of raising the wedge-shaped keyboard to an even more comfortable typing angle.

All in all, Pavilion fans and converts alike should be happy with the dv2500t, as long as they opt for the better battery.

New Toshiba Tablet PCs

Welcome to a Laptop Battery specialist
of Toshiba Laptop Battery   First post by: www.laptop-battery-stores.com

Although the pen-based computing concept and Microsoft's latest attempt at it get good marks, information technology managers, analysts and others in the industry say machines running the software giant's Windows XP Tablet PC Edition OS need to improve in function and come down in cost before tablet devices achieve broad-based popularity.

The latest crop of gadgets is set to debut at a high-profile launch in New York on Thursday. Weighing 3 to 4 pounds and costing north of $2,000, the PCs use a specialized version of Microsoft's Windows XP operating system that's optimized for pen input.

Merrill Lynch Chief Technology Officer John McKinley said the current crop of tablets running Microsoft's software is by far the best pen-based computing effort to date. However, he doesn't see sales taking off right away. Among the reasons is that, as good as Microsoft's handwriting recognition is, it still has just as much trouble deciphering bad script as any other handwriting recognition program.

"There are no miracles," McKinley said in an interview. "I got a C in handwriting in grade school. Having used the tablet, I understand why I got a C."

Microsoft officials declined to comment for this story. In the past, the company has said it hopes to eventually convince a significant portion of corporate laptop buyers to choose a tablet PC.

"If you can get (a notebook) for about $1,800 with long life battery like Toshiba Satellite A70 Battery, Toshiba Satellite A75 Battery, Toshiba Tecra 8000 Battery, Toshiba Tecra 8100 Battery, Toshiba Tecra 9000 Battery, Toshiba Tecra 9100 Battery, Toshiba Satellite 1900 Battery, Toshiba Satellite A60-662 Battery, Toshiba Satellite A65 Battery, Toshiba Satellite 2100 Battery and high screen resolution, and for less than a 10 percent increment have your tablet (PC), I think a significant part of that market will find that a compelling value proposition," Microsoft group vice president Jeff Raikes said in a September interview.

For the most part, the devices running the new Microsoft OS fall into two categories.

Some of them, including models from Toshiba and Acer, are laptops with screens that can be twisted around backward and then folded down to create a tablet. Others are pure tablets, resembling an Etch-a-Sketch. Hewlett-Packard takes the middle ground between handheld and notebook, with a model that can operate as a laptop, but only with a plug-in keyboard.

Larry Singer, the chief information officer for the state of Georgia, said he likes the idea of a tablet computer for entering data, but says such devices don't really replace laptops.

"We don't see this as a replacement for a notebook," Singer said. "I really think it's replacing paper. It's (playing to) a different audience that doesn't have PCs now; people who do forms work in the field."

As Singer sees it, the devices could be used by people such as child-welfare case workers, who rely heavily on paper files. Case workers could take a tablet PC along on a home visit, for example. Rather than filling out a stack of paper forms, workers could enter and maintain case files electronically, speeding the process and potentially saving money.

Although the devices could have other solid uses, such as in schools, Singer said the current crop doesn't pass the durability test.

Fujitsu Transmeta Laptop

Welcome to a Laptop Battery specialist
of Fujitsu Laptop Battery   First post by: www.laptop-battery-stores.com

Transmeta got some welcome news Monday as Fujitsu announced it is bringing to the United States a notebook PC using the latest low-power Crusoe processor from the struggling chipmaker.

Transmeta, which last week ousted its CEO and reported it sold just $5 million worth of chips in the third quarter, has found a niche with Japanese PC makers but has struggled to crack the U.S. market. Sony, Casio and NEC have introduced notebooks for sale here, but Compaq Computer and IBM announced plans to stick with Intel's low-power chips.

"It's good to see that they can get some design wins," said Nathan Brookwood, analyst at Insight 64. However, Brookwood said Transmeta still faces challenges in convincing PC makers to adopt Crusoe.

Brookwood said Fujitsu and others are getting better battery life these days, but chips are only a small part of the energy equation.

"The processor is not the major consumer of power in this class of product by far," Brookwood said. "People who are getting improved battery life are doing it through their approach to LCD technology and disc technology as much as, or more than, chip technology."

The new Fujitsu notebook, known as the LifeBook P, is Fujitsu's first U.S. model with a Crusoe chip, although the PC maker has been selling two Transmeta-based models in Japan, according to a Fujitsu representative. The company said the U.S. model should be available in mid-November.

"We recognized the acceptance of its predecessor notebook in the Japanese and Asia-Pacific markets and are confident the LifeBook P Series will succeed here in the U.S.," Sara Nelson, Fujitsu's vice president of marketing, said in a statement.

The LifeBook P will start at $1,499 and can either hold a combination DV-CD recording drive or a second battery like Fujitsu FPCBP80 Battery, Fujitsu FPCBP77 Battery, Fujitsu FPCBP68 Battery, Fujitsu FPCBP63 Battery, Fujitsu FPCBP95 Battery, Fujitsu LifeBook C1320 battery, Fujitsu FPCBP115 Battery, Fujitsu LifeBook C1321 battery, Fujitsu FPCBP152 battery, Fujitsu FPCBP130 battery that Fujitsu says gives the computer up to 14.5 hours of battery life. It comes standard with a 10.6-inch SXGA TFT screen, a 20GB hard drive, 128MB SDRAM, ATI Rage Mobility-M video card and an external USB floppy drive.

The chip used in the LifeBook P, the 800MHz Crusoe 5800, has been delayed, but the Fujitsu representative said problems with the chip did not affect the timing of the LifeBook launch. Transmeta originally announced the 5800 on June 25.

Sony last week announced a new PictureBook based on the 5800. The C1MV, also due to hit store shelves in mid-November, uses a 733MHz Crusoe 5800-series processor, has a 20GB hard drive and will retail for around $1,900.

Transmeta shares have been trading below $5 since early this summer and have been hovering between $1 and $2 in recent weeks.

These HP PCs were good

Welcome to a Laptop Battery specialist

Hewlett-Packard has been in the PC business for more than 25 years. And, needless to say, it had some good designs. It's worth a quick look at select models that stood the test of time in the wake of the disclosure today that the company is trying to unload its PC business.

The 3.5-pound HP EliteBook 2530p/2540p is a road warrior used at many Fortune 500 companies.

(Credit: Hewlett-Packard) Let me preface this with a caveat that was buried in the various HP statements today about its PC business: "There can be no assurance that any transaction regarding PSG (Personal Systems Group) will be pursued or completed." So, it's not a done deal. And there is a possibility, however remote, that HP holds on to the PC business. My hope is that it survives as an independent U.S.-based company, if only because the U.S. has almost no PC companies left.

HP Vectra: This used to be the gold standard for corporate desktops. A fully-equipped HP Vectra ES/12 (released 1987), for example, commanded a price of about $4,000. But it was well built and almost invariably got good reviews--though reviewers would complain about its price tag, like they do today with Apple. The Vectra ES/12 had a 12MHz Intel 80286 CPU, 640KB RAM, 5.25 inch floppy, 20 (or 40) MB hard disk drive, and VGA card.

HP OmniBook 300: The original Omnibook 300 (1993) came with an Intel 386SXLV CPU, 2MB RAM, two PCMCIA slots, and a nine-inch monochrome VGA display with 16 shades of gray. The rechargeable battery offered nine hours of use with the flash memory model. It could also run on 4 AA batteries like Compaq Presario V2000 battery(compaq v2000 battery), Hp pavillion zx5000 battery(Hp zx5000 battery), Hp PP2200 battery, Hp 338794-001 battery, Hp Pavilion dv2000 battery(Hp dv2000 battery), Hp HSTNN-LB31 battery, Hp EV088AA battery, according to the HP Computer Museum Web site. It weighed less than four pounds. A version with a 40MB hard disk sold for $1,950.

HP OmniBook 500: Announced in 2000, this was the equivalent of an Ultrabook (aka, MacBook Air) today. Like most novel HP laptop designs, it was targeted at business, not retail/consumer. It featured a magnesium casing, rubberized surface, a weight of only 3.5 pounds (the equivalent of a 2.5 pound laptop today), a one-inch thick chassis (that was considered razor thin in 2000), Intel Mobile Pentium III processor, a warm-swappable lithium-ion battery (up to 3.5 hours), a 12.1-inch XGA TFT display, ATI Mobility graphics chip, and an integrated modem/LAN combination with "Wake on LAN" support.

HP EliteBook 2540p: I still see this (and its predecessor the 2530p) at airports, coffee shops, and conferences. It's not as prevalent as the ThinkPad, but it's close. Like the Vectra above, it is tank-like in construction. It meets military standards (MIL-STD 810G), has a spill-resistant keyboard with drains, a magnesium-alloy casing, and hardened-steel pin axels, among other road warrior features. And it's one of the few laptops I have considered buying in the last few years aside from the MacBook Air that I now use.

Choosing PC

Welcome to a Laptop Battery specialist
of Hp laptop battery   First post by: www.laptop-battery-stores.com

Buying a new computer can be almost as stressful as buying a new car. How do you find the best fit for your needs without blowing your budget? If you sign on for all
the bells and whistles, or have your heart set on a top-of-the-line Mac, that new computer could set you back more than a down payment on a Civic. Before you pull out your credit card, let's review some options so you can pick the right machine.

Desktop: A desktop PC is usually the most appropriate option for a family in which more than one person will regularly use it. The good news is that desktop PCs are relatively inexpensive, endlessly customizable and will likely run just about any software program you throw at them. The bad news is that once you get the desktop home and set up, it's not going anywhere without you risking a lower back injury.

If price and personalization are more important than portability, I'm a fan of Dell's "build-to-suit" options. The Dell Inspiron 620MT ($450) is a great buy. Just keep in mind you'll still need to budget for a monitor.

Netbook: Often confused with a tablet (think iPad), this is more like a miniature, pared-down laptop. Netbooks are cheap, tiny and, well, cheap. They offer inexpensive, portable access to the Web, with the ability to do some word processing. The price point is alluring -- typically $200 to $400 -- which is certainly less than a tablet with a keyboard add-on. However, netbooks aren't very powerful so programs tend to run very slowly, their screens are small (typically around 10 inches), and you won't get the cool touch screen you would with a tablet. If price and portability trump functionality, consider the ASUS Eee PC ($340).

Laptop: If you need a fully functioning computer that can run a multitude of software programs and still travel with you from home to school or office, a laptop is likely your best bet. You can customize your options much like a desktop, which means that prices can vary greatly. Expect to pay around $500 for a basic, fully functioning laptop.

Screen size is one of your more important decisions: too small, and you'll notice it every time you use it, too big, and you'll notice it every time you lug it across town (bigger screen equals heavier machine). Also, consider battery such as Hp OmniBook 6000 battery, Hp F1739A battery, Hp Omnibook XE battery, Hp F2024B battery, Hp F2024A battery, Hp Omnibook XE3 battery, Hp 346970-001 battery, Hp HSTNN-DB02 battery, Hp HSTNN-UB02 battery, Hp DP390A battery life: The more powerful the laptop, the more juice it will need. Laptops are harder to upgrade than a desktop, so try to anticipate your storage (hard drive) and speed capacity (RAM) over the next few years and choose your specs accordingly. The basic system I like is the HP G4 Notebook ($500).

Apple: The Mac vs. Windows debate rages in many households, even mine. While the Mac user's "I don't get viruses" claim is not exactly true, only a handful of infections have attacked Mac systems in the last decade. With prices starting as $1,000, Macs are certainly more expensive than Windows PCs, and they're typically pre-built -- so don't plan on much customization. However, Apple commands a higher price because Mac hardware typically is superior to that of an entry-level PC; a similarly equipped Windows machine would cost around the same. And many argue that the Mac's software better accommodates graphic design and video editing. The 27-inch iMac desktop ($1,900) and the 13-inch Apple Macbook ($1,140) are awesome systems, if your budget allows.

A 499 Euro Quad-core Laptop

I don’t know about you but when I see a laptop that’s under 500 Euro I get pretty skeptical about the products real quality. From past experiences laptops that are that cheap come with some pretty big caveats. The cheaper laptops usually have all-plastic designs, poor battery life, slow performance, and a small low-end display.

Today I came across the HP Pavilion g7-1002sg a 17.3-inch laptop that offers some attractive, on paper, specifications for 499 Euro. The laptops main specifications were like so:

◦17.3 inch 16:9, 1600×900 pixels

◦1.8 GHz AMD Phenom II X4 P960 quad-core processor

◦AMD Radeon HD 6470M 1GB graphics card

◦4 GB DDR3 RAM 1333 MHz

◦750GB HDD 5400 RPM

◦6-cell Lithium-ion

◦2.796 kg weight; 31 x 412 x 268 mm (height x width x depth)

The HP Pavilion g7-1002sg is a new laptop for 2011 and it’s a part of HP’s new redesigned family of consumer notebooks.

Now all those product photos and those main specifications, and let’s not forget the 499 Euro base price, is all pretty enticing but how good is this laptop really? For that we need to look at the findings of a laptop review by Notebookcheck.net. The HP Pavilion g7-1002sg described and photographed above is the model reviewed very recently at the notebook review website. To quickly sum-up their findings the HP Pavilion g7-1002sg is rated as a 74/100 machine which is only average.

To go deeper we need to look for results from a few tests; the first would be the build quality, second comes performance, third comes display quality.

In build quality Notebook Check described the HP Pavilion g7-1002sg as being all plastic but without any major flaws in construction. The laptops expansion bay that’s on the bottom is easy to get access to for RAM or hard drive upgrades, all you’ll need to do is remove two screws. The plastic keyboard and multi-touch touchpad on this laptop are rated as just average.

Performance on the 499 Euro 17.3-inch laptop isn’t what you would expect from a quad-core laptop. The 1.8 GHz AMD Phenom II X4 P960 processor is not the best that AMD has to offer, in tests the quad-core processor did worse than the new quad-core AMD Fusion APUs and worse than even the low-end Intel Core i3-2310M dual-core processor. The HP Pavilion g7-1002sg is misleading machine when it comes to performance but to be realistic for 499 Euros the laptop isn’t too bad. The dedicated AMD Radeon HD 6470M GPU did alright but it’s not enough for HD gaming for any current PC titles.

As for battery life this laptop didn’t do well at all. In Notebook Check’s tests the Pavilion g7-1002sg lasted more tan three hours only when the laptop was left to idle (no WI-Fi and screen brightness low) but under normal usage the 6-cell battery such as Hp F2299A battery, Hp F3172A battery, Hp Pavilion ZT1000 battery, Hp Pavilion XZ200 battery, Hp Pavilion ZT1100 battery, Hp Omnibook XT1000 battery, Hp Omnibook XT1500 battery, Hp F2019 battery, Hp F2019A battery, Hp F2019B battery that comes with this affordable laptop can last 2 hours and 12 minutes.

The 17.3-inch LED back-lit display on this HP Pavilion is HD+ with 1600-by-900 pixels being the precise resolution. In test the display isn’t too bad with color reproduction, the glossy displays isn’t good for viewing in direct light, and finally the viewings angles for this laptop aren’t optimum if you’re not looking dead-on into the screen. Notebook Check notes that the display performance of this laptop is typical of low-end TN panel LCDs, low-end TN panels are commonplace in low-cost laptops.

Apple Exchanging MacBook Pro Batteries

Welcome to a Laptop Battery specialist
of Apple Laptop Battery   First post by: www.laptop-battery-stores.com

Apple is offering a worldwide battery "exchange" program for selected batteries sold with its MacBook Pro portables.

Citing performance rather than safety issues, Apple Computer has introduced a free worldwide “exchange” program for some batteries such as Apple A1175 Battery, Apple A1185 Battery, Apple M9324 Battery, Apple M8403 Battery, Apple M7318 Battery, apple PowerBook G3 Battery, Apple PowerBook G4 Battery, Acer UM08B73 battery, Acer UM08B71 battery, Acer UM08A31 battery, Acer Aspire One Battery, Acer UM08A73 battery sold with its Intel-based MacBook Pro line of portable computers.

Batteries eligible for the program were sold with MacBook Pro systems from February to May, 2006, and have the model number A1175 and a 12-digit serial number which ends with U7SA, U7SB or U7SC. Battery model and serial numbers are on the bottom of the battery: you have to remove it from the MacBook Pro in order to see them. (Be sure your computer is shut down or at least plugged into its power adapter before removing the battery!)

Apple will replace eligible batteries free of charge. According to the company, this recall is based solely on performance concerns, and there are no safely issues with the batteries eligible for exchange: customers may continue to use their current batteries until replacements arrive. The exchange program follows a few months of reports that some batteries shipped with MacBook Pro systems have failed, shut off without warning, or report incorrect status information to the computer.

Customers can exchange up to three batteries by filling out an online form, individuals or organizations with more than three batteries to exchange need to call Apple to make arrangements. Apple says it will have localized versions of the exchange program form online by August 4, 2006.
