A new study has found that when it comes to having an affair, many people place a high value on oral sex.According to the pro-cheating website, VictoriaMilan, as many as 65% of women and 68% of men say that if someone they are sleeping with isn’t down for oral sex, it would be a deal breaker.
The website surveyed more than 9000 of its members, many of whom said that not only would the lack of oral sex be the end of an affair, it could be the reason they considered having an affair in the first place!
Oral sex is a deal breaker. According to the findings of a recent survey, many people place a high value on oral sex when they are having an affair. In fact, says the pro-cheating website VictoriaMilan, a large percentage of their more than 9000 members that they surveyed said that a sexual partner not being down for oral sex would be a deal breaker that not only ends an affair but is the catalyst for seeking out one in the first place.
Oral sex matters in a sexual relationship. 65% of the women and 68% of the men surveyed by the site said that oral sex would make or break an affair for them. Even more of them admitted, however, that it matters in every relationship.
The frequency of oral sex should be consistent. 72% of the women surveyed and 85% of the men said they needed to have oral sex in all their relationships. They also reported that they would be uncomfortable if the frequency of cunnilingus or fellatio was to drop.
Many people like to give oral sex. The VictoriaMilan researchers made some other surprising discoveries too. They found that the vast majority of their members not only liked receiving oral but also giving.
No surprises that 94% of men enjoy receiving a “blow job.” 77% of the women surveyed, say the researchers, and 72% of the men reported deriving enjoyment from performing oral sex on a partner. Unsurprisingly, though, 94% of the men said they also enjoy receiving compared to 89% of women.
Few women don’t enjoy it but more men don’t like to give it. Only 11% of the women surveyed said that they do not enjoy receiving oral from a partner while 28% of men don’t like to give it!
Heterosexual women may get the least oral sex. According to the researchers, heterosexual women still appear to get the least oral sex. They chalk it up to a combination of many women continuing to feel insecure about the appearance, smell and taste of their vaginas, as well as some men’s “unwillingness to go down” on women.
“The oral sex gender gap” is real. Writer Ellen Scott, writing for the Metro UK, backed up these findings in a recent article on what she called “the oral sex gender gap.” According to Scott, it’s a real thing and she has been affected by it.
Writer can count the number of times she has received oral sex in the last 6 years. Scott says that while she has been sexually active for 6 years, she can still count the number of times on both hands that she has had the pleasure of the stroke of someone’s tongue on her genitals. She has lost count, she says, of the number of blow jobs she has given.
Men consider “blow jobs” to be a given. Scott says that she is tired of “blow jobs being a given,” while oral sex for women is considered “something special.” She recognizes that the issue may not compare with the “gender pay gap, or rape culture, or honor killings,” but believe that it is still worthy of a conversation.
Lesbians have lots of oral sex. Scott cites a recent survey of 899 Canadian college students that found that while lesbians were having “wonderful oral sex all around,” only 44% of heterosexual women compared to 63% of men could say that they had received oral sex during a recent hookup. Scott also informally interviewed her own friends and found that the same appeared to be true - that in heterosexual relationships, boyfriends receive more oral sex than their girlfriends!
Men have a number of excuses. Among the many excuses given for why this is the case, men complained that their neck hurts during the activity or that a woman takes too long. Some even claim that they don’t know how.
