Dell will introduce a new series of consumer notebook PCs on June 25. The Inspiron R series feature molded designs and chrome accents, and are in four finishes (Mars Black, Peacock Blue, Tomato Red and Lotus Pink) and three screen sizes (14, 15 and 17 inches).
The new models feature the Dell Dock, which makes photos, videos and most commonly used apps available from a dock at the top of the screen. The optional Intel Wireless Display feature lets users project what is on the laptop display on a nearby HDTV without the need for cables. Students have the option to purchase any version of Microsoft Office 2010 pre-installed on their Inspiron R laptops.
Inspiron R models feature smudge-resistant palm rests, a full-size, keyboard and a stiffer frame. Prices begin at $499.
